The Dundalk Voluntary Housing Association CLG (DVHA) is an approved voluntary housing association that develops and provides high-quality, affordable, housing for people with an intellectual disability. The vision is to create homes to enable people, with support, to live valued and independent lives in a thriving community.
Since its establishment in 1994, the DVHA ran as a purely voluntary organisation, made up of volunteers who generously contributed their time and professional expertise without the expectation of financial reward. Their legacy is that the DVHA acquired 3 properties of very high quality in the town of Dundalk and delivered 18 residential units to tenants.
The DVHA became part of Saint John of God Hospitaller Ministries on 30th September 2013 following negotiations to find an organisation with a similar vision and ethos to carry on its mission. The DVHA values the partnership and co-operation with Saint John of God Community Services CLG in achieving the best outcomes for its tenants.

Saint John of God Housing Association Limited works in partnership with Saint John of God Community Services clg to promote and develop community living for people with special needs.
The Housing Association provides affordable, high quality housing in the community which can be adapted to the changing needs of individuals with an intellectual disability, mental health issues and older people. We provide rental accommodation to over 350 tenants in counties Dublin, Kerry, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Wicklow.
At present, the Housing Association’s services are only available to people we support directly through Saint John of God Community Services.
